History of Cosmology – The Andalus and beyond

In this talk we introduce briefly the modern cosmology to later focus on what was known in the time of the Muslim Andalus. Before we approach this point, it will have to address the greek mythology. We will also talk about the reasons that made astronomy such an important field on the muslim world by then.
