26th June. In two intense hours, the participants discover and practice how to use the camera to obtain various types of night photography, such as star trails and panoramas with the Milky Way.
24th July. The program addresses the big questions about our Universe. What is its origin? How did it evolve? How did matter and galaxies, stars and planets come about? How do we know that the Universe accelerates and are there other dimensions?
31st July. During two intense hours the participants will learn the basic camera definitions that will allow them to acquire night sky photos and learn how to process them. The session starts with a brief theoretical introduction followed by exercises in OLA’s field.

28th August. Introductory course to Astronomy aimed especially at children from 6 to 12 years old. Tackles various topics such as the seasons of the year, space exploration and even the beginning of the Universe. An ideal program for parents and children with many experiments to do and build.
On the 11th and 12th of September, in Barrancos and in the Noudar Nature Park, a festival of the stars is held with the participation of researchers and amateur astronomers and all those who want to share their experiences of observation and astronomical photography. Free entry but requires registration.
14th September. This is one of the best days of the year to observe the planet Mercury by the end of the afternoon.
24th September. The observatory brings the European Researchers Night to Monsaraz with an ensemble of experimental activities and presentations by experts of various research areas. Register your school.
