Every year in August our planet intercepts the orbit of Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle. This region of the solar system is populated by debris from the comet itself that is intercepted by our planet thus creating the most famous light show of the year.

- Peak Intensity [PI]: 11 – 12th of August
- Lunar State during PI: 44% Full
- Incidence Rate during [PI]: 50-75 events/hour
- Velocity: 59km/s
