Special Stargazing Session – Jupiter Opposition
On this night the biggest planet in the solar system reaches opposition. That means that the planet will be diametrically opposed to the Sun, relative to the position of Earth in the solar system.
For this reason, on this day when the sun sets, Jupiter will rise on the Eastern horizon and will be available to observation all night long. It will be one of this year’s best nights to watch the biggest of all the planets in the solar system.
